Vladimir Medinsky the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation introduced new Director General to the theatre employees. The post is assumed by Ara Karapetyan.
Minister of Сulture Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky: “First of all, I would like to say that the theatre made great progress for the last two years. You’ve come a long way. The amount of services rendered is 75% more than previous years. This means your art is relevant. Then I must express gratitude for the former direction of the theatre, Vladimir Abramovich Kekhman and Snezhana Borisovna Lyubar. You are a good team. After a number of discussions and sessions with former direction of the theatre, the city authorities, the authorized representative of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin we settled on the nomination of Ara Karapetyan”.
Vladimir Kekhman, artistic director of NOVAT: “Three years back, when I just started working in Novosibirsk, I wrote a development programme for the theatre up to the year 2020. According to my plan this programme must result in 550 thousand visits per year. This task is challenging but yet achievable. Altogether, God willing, we will do it!”
