The month of April was marked with a number of powerful ballet debuts in NOVAT.
For the first time the two dancers performed opponent parts – Anna Germizeyeva as Nikiya, Maria Nikolaeva as rajah’s daughter Gamzatti in “La Bayadère” on 4th April. Nikiya’s part is a challenge for any dancer, Anna Germizeyeva shared her thoughts with us: “I came a long way to dance this part, I worked hard, so I had almost no worries before the show – I just anticipated it merrily”.
Konstantin Blinov performed a loyal friend Ali in an adventurous ballet “Le Corsaire” on 14th April.
Alexey Tyutyunnik performed the Duke for the first time on 21st April in a romantic classic ballet “Giselle ou les Wilis”.
NOVAT lead ballet soloist Vera Sabantseva performed for the first time Princess Aurora in a magic ballet show “Sleeping Beauty” with Nacho Duato’s choreography on 25th April. The next performance of “Sleeping Beauty” ballet is on 26th April was featured with Nina Avseyeva’s debut as Lilac Fairy.
