Artyom Ovcharenko

Winner of international competitions

He began to study dance at Dnepropetrovsk Ballet School, then he entered the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (class of Alexander Bondarenko). In 2007, after graduation from MCA he joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company. His repertoire includes: Count Albrecht («Giselle»), James («La Sylphide»), Prince Siegfried («Swan Lake»), Prince Désiré («The Sleeping Beauty»), Basilio («Don Quixote»), Conrad («Le Corsair»), Jean de Brienne («Raimonda»), Frantz («Coppelia»), Phoebus («La Esmeralda»), Lord Wilson/Taor («La Fille du Pharao»).

The Nutcracker-Prince («Nutcracker»), Romeo («Romeo and Juliet»), Prince Kurbsky («Ivan the Terrible»), Lensky («Onegin»), Armand Duval («Lady of the Camellias»), Marco Spada («Marco Spada»), Lucentio («The Taming of the Shrew ), Hamlet («Hamlet»), Pechorin («A Hero of Our Time»), The Leading Couple in «Diamonds» è «Rubies» («Jewels»), Apollon («Apollon Musagète»), Petrushka («Petrushka»), Principal Dancer («Etudes») and other.

In 2011, he appeared as Phoebus in La Esmeralda with the Berlin State Ballet.

In 2015, he performed the part of Armand in Lady of the Camellias with Bavarian State Ballet. He also performed Count Albrecht with the ballet company of Sapaev Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre in 2015, Prince Siegfried with Macedonian Ballet, Student in Anyuta with the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre Company.

He performed the title role in British TV production “Rudolf Nureyev: Dance to Freedom” (BBC, 2015, nominated for BAFTA).
